Orchard Vale Primary is nestled in the Whiddon Valley estate on the outskirts of Barnstaple, North Devon.  We have approximately 350 children within the school which includes a 52 place Nursery and Speech and Language Centre. 

This year we are celebrating our tenth anniversary.  We opened on September 13th 1999 to provide a Community School for the surrounding area of Whiddon Valley.

The school building is set at the top of the valley, the modern innovative design  provides a spacious  learning environment with many designated areas for specific learning activities. From the outside, the school is constructed from red brick, sustainable forest wood and recycled oak windows.  The building is surrounded by a large playground and field that includes a fitness trail, climbing wall, willow domes and tunnels and forest school area.
